Decipher already watches thousands of session replays for you, surfacing bugs, friction points, and feature usage. Smart Events takes that magic one step further: you can now describe the specific user behavior you care about in natural language — and let the AI count, segment, and spotlight them for you.

Why it matters

• Total flexibility. Want to know how many users created and then copied an API key? Or who ran out of credits? Define it once and Decipher will monitor it forever.

• No manual tagging. No need to loop in engineering to get analytics tracked, get new events setup in less than 15 seconds with natural language

• Instant context. Each Smart Event comes with its own chart, filters, and a jump‑to‑replay link so you can see why the event happened, not just that it did.

• See trends. Let AI look at trends in your smart events and funnels to let you know when action should be taken.

  
  

How it works

1. Open the Smart Events tab in your dashboard sidebar.

2. Click “+ Create Smart Event.”

3. Give it a friendly name and a clear description (e.g., “Created and then Copied API Key on the settings page”).

4. Hit Create Smart Event—and watch the session counter light up in real time.

Decipher’s vision model will tag every future (and soon, past) session that matches your definition, grouping them by user, account, and date so you can slice and dice to your heart’s content.
